Maternity
Having a baby is one of life’s most exciting events, and we at MedAnsh provide a comprehensive range of maternity services like antenatal, labour, postnatal as well as education programs like birthing classes, to help women prepare for a safe pregnancy and birth. We always place the patients’ needs and concerns in focus of what we do, so that parents feel safe and secure, during pregnancy, labour, delivery and after. Our clinical obstetrical team is capable of handling complicated as well as a high-risk pregnancy.
We offer the following maternity services at our hospital:-
- Antenatal Care
Antenatal care monitors your health during pregnancy, as well as the health and development of your baby. It can help predict possible problems with your pregnancy or birth so that timely action can be taken to avoid or treat them.
At MedAnsh Hospital, we believe in providing expert care to ensure and facilitate a healthy and safe pregnancy and delivery. During the routine antenatal check-up, our doctors will monitor your and your baby’s health by conducting various tests and continuously monitoring your baby’s heartbeat.
- Labour
The pain of delivering a baby can be excruciating and nail-biting but due to advancements in medicines, the pain can be reduced to a substantial level. MedAnsh Hospital is committed to providing labour care for all women during their pregnancy so as to ease the pain.
Apart from prescribing painkillers and other alternatives, we also have a provision of other procedures to reduce pain like:-
- Epidural: In this procedure, a thin tube is inserted in the lower spinal area and it gives the entire lower part of the body relief from the labour pain. It is also the most common and most preferred pain relief method.
- Spinal Block: This is slightly different from an epidural because in this case the medication is injected directly into the spinal fluid. Once injected, the pain is kept at bay for a few hours. The nature of medication may vary on the stage of labour i.e. it is early or active labour. During early labour, your analgesic is given to handle the pain, however, in active labour, an epidural is preferred.
- Postnatal care
The postpartum period is an important stage in a mother’s, so it requires proper attention in order to recuperate from the process of birthing. This period lasts for about six to eight-week post-delivery. We provide the best postnatal care to ensure that the postnatal period is uncomplicated for the new-born as well as the mother.
- Birthing Classes
Birthing classes help the mother-to-be to get prepared before the delivery. Our dedicated and highly qualified and dedicated team of doctors will explain the process of birthing, what happens during delivery and what precautions, exercise and diet have to be taken to ensure a healthy and safe delivery.
